Starbucks Brand Expression
In 2019, Ben was the Creative Director responsible for updating the brand expression for Starbucks. It was inspired by the brand’s legacy and iconic elements like the green apron the store partners wear. This evolution was to make the brand to be contemporary and inclusive.
This update evolved how the brand was expressed across all touchpoints including the iconic white cup, in store experience with our menu and signage systems, out of store marketing and product design.
Starbucks Coffee Packaging Redesign
In 2022, Ben was brought in to help take over a project that was important to Starbucks: the new design of Starbucks coffee packaging. He joined the project to give the team a new creative vision. This vision included referencing the past legacy of Starbucks coffee art and inspiration from Starbucks Reserve packaging. The result was an award winning line up of global packaging that features illustrations from 10 different internal designers and new coffee stories.
Starbucks Pickup & Amazon Go Concept Store
In 2021, the first Starbucks Pickup & Amazon Go concept store in New York opened. Ben led the creative expression for this new extension of the store portfolio. His team created a unique co-branded experience including packaging, illustrations, photography, digital signage, analog signage, and the local marketing campaign assets.
Starbucks Brand & Seasonal Campaigns
Ben led the creative expression for multiple brand and seasonal campaigns for Starbucks which included illustration, photography, film, typography, and copy. The scope of these campaigns were trend, creative expression, packaging, product design, in store visual merchandising, in store signage, owned channel marketing, :15 and :06 second ads, loyalty marketing games, and select co-branded partnerships.
